Unheard Museum in New Delhi

The Musical Instruments Museum at Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi is a small setup but interesting pieces from all over India.
They have a huge collection of Musical instruments, Masks, Performing art objects, records as well as photos.
The instrument is the photo is Pena which is the traditional music instrument of the Meetei community of Manipur(northeast), India and some parts of Bangladesh and is played either solo or in the group, in folk music or as the accompanying musical instrument.
Pena playing is becoming a dying art as only 145 active Pena players are reported in Manipur.
But fortunately, this academy with the cooperation of the ministry of culture, trying to train, develop and keep alive by presenting performances of an unknown musician.
And it seems the museum is doing a great job its duty related to preservation and research.
There is a critical point that as India is Land of Performance and Music as well, why there is no suitable museum for them in the capital city, Delhi.
By the way, if you are a scholar the museum staffs and its management are very nice, helpful and professional, which is I personally recommend to visit the museum.
