Museums Webinars for all, Effective and Efficient
Although I love traveling for the museum conferences, training courses, and seminars, it does not mean that I would not be excited about the online one of any of them!
It happened to many of us that we could not attend a seminar because of its time and date, cost and location. The webinar is one of those solutions that can make it accessible.
And that is why some of the ICOM committees organizing webinar series which is for me was very effective and efficient.
On December 11 ICOM ICEE organized a webinar which was "Rebuilding The Museu Nacional: Turning the Page", by Dr. Alexander Kellner, Director of the Museu Nacional (Rio de Janeiro, Brasil) as guest lecturer of the Webinar that shared an update on the planning and development for the rebuilding of the Museu after the devastating fire of September 2018, including how the tragedy has brought together a dedicated staff and the international community with a common goal to develop a new museum of national history in South America.
So, it reminds me of the webinar benefits:
1. Webinars have benefits that are more permanent than you may think
2. Webinars build cumulative brand value, directly to your target audience
3. Webinars are extremely cost-effective
4. Webinars are more about learning than presentation.
